Yongpyong<br />
Yongpyong Resort is the most well-known place for skiers and<br />
snowboarders, located on the Eastern Coast of South Korea in the<br />
Gangwon province, 200km (2.5 hours) east of Seoul.<br />
Known as “Korea’s Ski Mecca” with a growing reputation as an<br />
internationally-renowned resort this natural surrounding place provides<br />
the perfect atmosphere for skiing & snowboarding with fresh powder<br />
snow and well organised facilities. The mountain has more then 25kms<br />
of groomed slopes, 15 chairs lifts, a 3.7km cable car/gondola and a<br />
terrain park offering all levels of skiers the best conditions for showing<br />
off their technique.<br />
Yongpyong Resort is home to many international events including the<br />
upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics, Winter Asian games in 1999 and<br />
Interski Congress 2007. The mountain also offers night skiing, with<br />
lifts open daily from 8:30am to midnight offering non-stop satisfaction.<br />
Adding to the usual anticipation and excitement that make up the joy of<br />
going on a ski trip, Yongpyong offers the mystic wonder of falling asleep<br />
with joy. Accommodation options range from premium hotels right<br />
through to traditional Korean-style accommodation (Ondol rooms).<br />
