Schaltrad, 2 Hämmer, 2 Tonfedern, “Brevet”, Fliehkraftbremse für Repetition,

Edmond Mathey-Tissot
Mathey-Tissot ist ein Schweizer Hersteller hochwertiger Uhren; die Firma wurde
im späten 19. Jhdt. von Edmond Mathey-Tissot in Les Ponts-de-Martel im
Kanton Neuchâtel gegründet. Man darf Mathey-Tissot jedoch nicht mit dem
Schweizer Uhrenhersteller Tissot verwechseln, der von Charles-Felicien Tissot
gegründet wurde - die beiden Firmen haben nichts miteinander zu tun.

An extremely rare, very fine hunting case minute repeating watch with
chronograph
Case: 14k rose gold, tiered, smooth, numbered and signed gold dome, pusher
for chronograph at “12”, slide for repeating mechanism, glazed movement.
Dial: enamel, radial Roman hours, sunk seconds, blued spade hands.
Movm.: 2/3 plate movement, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration,
polished screws, finely ground, bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel,
2 hammers, 2 gongs, “Brevet”, governor for repetition, screw compensation
balance, blued balance spring.

Edmond Mathey-Tissot
Mathey-Tissot is a Swiss watchmaker of prestige watches, originally established
in the late 19th century by Edmond Mathey-Tissot at Les Ponts-de-Martel in
the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. It should not be confused with Tissot,
a completely separate Swiss watchmaking firm established by Charles-Felicien
Tissot.

“Empire” numerals, sunk auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter, gold spade hands.
Movm.: bridge movement, frosted, gilt, 32 jewels, mirror-polished screws,
mirror-polished, bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet-wheel, 2 hammers,
2 gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, blued
balance spring, counterpoised lever, ruby endstone on lever and escape wheel.
