Organisationsphänomen beschreibt BARNARD die <strong>in</strong>formellen Strukturen e<strong>in</strong>es <strong>sozialen</strong><br />
Interaktions- <strong>und</strong> <strong>Kommunikation</strong>ssystems zwischen den Mitarbeitern, das die<br />
Unternehmung weitestgehend unabhängig von dem offiziellen Regelgerüst durchdr<strong>in</strong>gt.<br />
46 Hierzu zählen E<strong>in</strong>stellungen, soziale Normen <strong>und</strong> Gebräuche <strong>in</strong> Organisationen<br />
als <strong>in</strong>formale Organisationskommunikationsform, die als entscheidende E<strong>in</strong>flussgrößen<br />
die Dynamik <strong>und</strong> den Erfolg e<strong>in</strong>er formalen Organisation maßgeblich<br />
bee<strong>in</strong>flussen. 47 Der Formierung <strong>und</strong> Beibehaltung von <strong>Kommunikation</strong>ssystemen<br />
setzt BARNARD die Konzeptionierung e<strong>in</strong>er moralischen Verpflichtung von Führungskräften<br />
voraus. Als führender Autor im Bereich der Managementlehre bekräftigt<br />
er die Wichtigkeit, <strong>Kommunikation</strong>skanäle über Organisationshierarchien zu<br />
def<strong>in</strong>ieren, „[…] <strong>in</strong> which the moral factor f<strong>in</strong>ds its concrete expression […]“ 48 . Daher<br />
konstatierte bereits BARNARD <strong>Kommunikation</strong> nicht nur als Instrument zur Gestaltung<br />
von <strong>in</strong>terner <strong>und</strong> <strong>in</strong>formeller Organisation, sondern auch als Möglichkeit,<br />
dynamische Kooperationen <strong>in</strong>nerhalb der Unternehmung zu fördern <strong>und</strong> den gesellschaftlichen<br />
Zweck der Organisation zum Mitarbeiter zu kommunizieren. 49 Als Vordenker<br />
se<strong>in</strong>er Zeit war sich BARNARD bereits der Wichtigkeit der Außenwirkung von<br />
Unternehmen <strong>und</strong> der E<strong>in</strong>flussnahme auf das Beziehungsgefüge zu externen Mitgliedern<br />
bewusst:<br />
„Prestige, competitive reputation, social philosophy, social stand<strong>in</strong>g, philanthropic<br />
<strong>in</strong>terests, combativeness, love of <strong>in</strong>trigue, dislike of fraction, technical <strong>in</strong>terest, Napoleonic<br />
dream, love of accomplish<strong>in</strong>g useful th<strong>in</strong>gs, desire for regard of employees,<br />
love of publicity, fear of publicity - a long catalogue of non-economic motives actually<br />
condition the management of bus<strong>in</strong>ess, and noth<strong>in</strong>g but the balance sheet keeps<br />
there non-economic motives from runn<strong>in</strong>g wild. Yet without all these <strong>in</strong>centives, I<br />
th<strong>in</strong>k most bus<strong>in</strong>ess would be a lifeless failure” 50<br />
