“All of us, Berliners and our guests, want to enjoy fair
games and fun fan celebrations. Coercion and violence
have no place here. We are therefore very pleased
that the Deutscher Frauenrat, together with many
other organisations, alliances and associations, has
launched the ‚Final Whistle – Stop Forced Prostitution‘
campaign.“ (excerpt from his preface to the
campaign brochure)
The country-wide network
At the invitation of the Deutscher
Frauenrat, a country-wide campaign
network was formed from a wide
spectrum of organisations. It was from
these circles that the joint urgent policy
recommendations were formulated
for both the federal and state levels
in Germany. This set of urgent
recommendations formed the basis
for the signature drive held during the
campaign. The network organisations
also assumed a large number of other
functions. Some contributed primarily
their expert knowledge and/or highprofile
names to the campaign; others
mobilised their members to engage
in local and regional activities.
