300,000 ₦ per month. Even though the supply of homes in Nigeria is booming, many real
estates are currently vacant, since many landlords had increased their rents to such an
extent that they exceed the salary of middleclass Nigerians. Moreover, prior moving into a
flat, the rent has to be paid two years in advance which also represents a heavy burden for
many Nigerians.

überhaupt nicht ausgelegt. Stromausfälle kommen daher sehr häufig vor, manchmal auch
mehrere Stunden am Tag. Daher wird die PHCN auch spöttisch als „Please hold Candle
near“ bezeichnet. Aufgrund der häufigen Stromausfälle hält fast jeder Haushalt und jedes
Unternehmen Stromgeneratoren bereit.
