2 Description<br />
2.2.1 UV Wand System <strong>UVA</strong> <strong>97033</strong><br />
For a maximum of operational safety this unit is generally equipped with a<br />
“<strong>UVA</strong> + blue” band-pass filter which is integrated into the unit. The blue light<br />
serves as pilot light.<br />
The light guide does not require <strong>UVC</strong> transmittance.<br />
2.2.2 UV Wand System <strong>UVC</strong> <strong>97034</strong><br />
This unit is generally equipped with “<strong>UVA</strong> + UVB + <strong>UVC</strong> + blue” band-pass filter which<br />
is integrated into the unit. The blue light serves as pilot light.<br />
When working with UVB and <strong>UVC</strong> extra precautions must be taken and operating<br />
personnel must be completely shielded from the UV radiation.<br />
Be sure to use a light guide, which is transparent to <strong>UVC</strong> light.<br />
2.2.3 Comparative UV Measurements<br />
Competitors units may have a different spectral output. A comparison of radiation power<br />
of different units is only possible, if they emit the same spectrum.<br />
The Loctite units provide you superior UV output through state of the art technology.<br />
Data on UV radiation power is deliberately not given as common standards of<br />
measurement do not exist. The measuring instruments of different manufacturers deliver<br />
data, which are not comparable. However, you are invited to compare – but use the<br />
same measuring instrument.<br />
