UV minimum threshold monitoring is activated 5 minutes after switching on the system.<br />

The processor logs one UV value per exposure and continually computes the average<br />

from the last 32 exposures. Therefore, the earliest “UV MINIMUM REACHED” warning<br />

message can be displayed after the 32 nd exposure.<br />

The DC powered UV lamps are comparatively stable as opposed to AC powered UV<br />

lamps. Because the electrode flow is uniform, the electrode consumption is very small.<br />

The fall-out of the burned mercury at the lamp is also reduced. Furthermore the<br />

electronics of the UV Wand System adjusts the electrical performance of the lamp to<br />

200 W ± 1%.<br />

UV epoxies mostly have their maximum efficiency in the <strong>UVA</strong>. However most epoxies<br />

also react to UVB, which means that they cure faster when they are exposed to <strong>UVA</strong><br />

and UVB. Some epoxies will not cure without UVB. UVB is also helpful in reducing<br />

surface stickiness.<br />

The UV Wand System <strong>97033</strong> should be used if fast curing of UV adhesives, is required.<br />

UV Wand System <strong>97034</strong> should be used for applications requiring fast curing of UV<br />

adhesives with additional <strong>UVC</strong> light exposure for quickly achieving a non-tacky surface.<br />
