The Scantool Group is a group of production and sales companies consisting of:
Scantool Group was established in 1987 and is the production and warehouse company of the group. Scantool Group produce the majority of the products which are
sold by the sales companies in the group. All products are also stored and handled by Scantool Group.
Arboga A/S is a sales company bought in 1990 from the Swedish company Arboga Maskiner AB. Arboga markets a range of high quality grinding and polishing
machines of Danish manufacture and is particularly strong on the Middle-Eastern, Far-Eastern and South American markets.
KEF-Motor A/S is a production and sales company bought in 1988 from Thrige Titan. Which was a Danish company manufacturing and markets a range of high quality
grinding and polishing machines both in Denmark and abroad. KEF has a very strong position on the European market but also exports to the rest of the world.
Scantool A/S was founded in 1980. It is today a sales company which markets a broad range of its own machines, produced in Denmark, as well as private label
machines, produced abroad, both in Denmark and overseas. Scantool has the whole group’s broad programme which is sold in more than 40 countries.
HM Machinery A/S is a sales company, bought in 2005, which markets a broad range of grinding machines of high quality to customers in Denmark and abroad. HM
is particularly well known for its expertise in sheet-metal processing and is a worldwide market leader in its field.
Today, the Scantool Group, with its domicile in Brovst, is one of the world’s leading grinding machine manufacturers. Among other achievements of note, Scantool
was the first company in the world to start up serial production of modern industrial belt grinders.
The five companies are all owned by the Nielsen family. The founder was Jens-Martin Nielsen, who passed away in 2005. His wife Ingrid Nielsen is chairman of the
board of all five companies and Claus Nielsen is the managing director.

In addition, the group’s machine programme comprises quality-controlled private label products:
Drilling machines - Milling and drilling machines - Metal cutting band saws - Bending rollers - Profile bending machines - Magnetic drilling machines - Pipe benders -
Work shop presses - Deburring machines - Swaging machines - Corner notchers.
Vision: It is Scantool Group’s indesputable goal to deliver high-quality metal working machines at competitive prices.
The products are sent to dealers in Denmark and abroad. The home market accounts for about 35% of sales and the remaining 65% is exported to about 45 countries
worldwide.
