aim of this work is to find political levers to allow as many people as possible
to enjoy the potentials inherent in digital networks and global information
and communication flows.
• To this end, I would like to conduct a short, intense RTD session with an
exclusive group of female experts to obtain your opinions on my assumptions
and perhaps to get you talk to each other indirectly. Social exclusion is not a
women-specific issue and is discussed in my theoretical analysis only partially
from a gender perspective. But to exhaust the benefits of the RTD method as
an agile, standardized online communication space, a homogeneous
"concernment" seems to me - despite all the desired heterogeneity of the
group - as a smart move. This is why a purely feminine selection was made
and because an above-average share of socially excluded people belong to the
female gender worldwide.
• As experts, I want a truly international composition of women who are
assigned to either science and /or act as pragmatic border crossers and /or
are organizationally embedded. In concrete terms, I would like to put together
a group of about 30 people, which generate a successful mix of sociological,
political, psychological, educational, media and web-specific scientific
perspectives, and cover the topics of education, media technology and social
theory.
To establish a highly qualified, heterogeneous experts group, I would like to ask you to
inform me as soon as possible a) whether you would be willing to contribute your
expertise to this study and b) whether you could suggest 1-3 women from your main
field (education, media technology and /or social theory) with e-mail address, which
would be interesting as an anonymous expert for this analysis. Ideally, the persons
proposed should bring in a different angle of expertise than yours, but should be
possibly from the same continent.
I'd be very happy to win you for this project and include your point of view. I really
appreciate your cooperation since I can imagine that your available time might be quite
limited. However, perhaps you will find this study interesting and would be ready to
invest time in this dialogue.
