amerika ab. Unsere Airline-Partner verbinden
die Rhein-Ruhr-Region mit zehn Städten in
den USA und Kanada. So stehen New York, Los
Angeles, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco und
Atlanta genauso im Flugplan wie Toronto und
Vancouver in Kanada. Ganz neu seit Mai diesen
Jahres fliegt airberlin nonstop nach Las Vegas.
Möglich ist dieses Angebot durch die Funktion
des Düsseldorfer Airports als internationales
Drehkreuz. Nur durch die Bündelung von deut-
schen und europäischen Zubringerflügen kön-
nen airberlin und Lufthansa dieses Langstrecken-
angebot ab Düsseldorf darstellen. Fort Myers
in Florida ist dabei in Deutschland sogar aus-
schließlich ab Düsseldorf zu erreichen. Für den
nächsten Winterflugplan hat airberlin bereits
einen weiteren Ausbau von Düsseldorf Inter-
national als Nordamerika-Drehkreuz angekün-
digt. NRW erhält dann noch häufigere und
regelmäßigere Verbindungen zu den wichtig-
sten Geschäftsreise- und Urlaubsdestinationen
in Nordamerika.

A jet heading for North America lifts off from
Düsseldorf International on average seven
times per day. Our airline partners connect
the Rhine-Ruhr region with ten cities in the
US and Canada, including New York, Los
Angeles, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and
Atlanta, as well as with Toronto and Vancouver.
Since the beginning of May, airberlin
also offers non-stop flights to Las Vegas. This
has been made possible as a result of Düsseldorf
Airport’s position as an international
hub. The ability to bundle German and European
feeder flights has allowed airberlin and
Lufthansa to offer these long-distance con-
nections from Düsseldorf. Fort Myers in Florida,
for example, can only be reached from Germany
via Düsseldorf. For the next winter
flight schedule, airberlin has already announ-
ced further expansion of Düsseldorf Airport as
a North America hub, which will provide the
region with even more frequent and regular
connections to the most important business
travel and vacation destinations in North
America.
