Analyse der Qualität der multimedialen
Lernumgebung „BioPrinz“

Abstract
The multimedia learning environment “BioPrinz“ has been developed and applied
at the Institute of Sport Science in Darmstadt. This system serves as a complement
for the basic course “Introduction to the biomechanics of sport” and the
goal is to introduce the principles of biomechanics according to Hochmuth.
Currently, the second version of the learning environment consists of two
parts: The first part contains information concerning the principles of biomechanics
and the second part contains general additional information. The five main
chapters of part 1 are structured into introduction, examples, animations and simulations,
definitions and explanations, tasks, exercises and quiz.
The learning environment has been tested twice with comparatively small
samples of students. Different methods of data acquisition have been applied:
thinking aloud, log book, qualitative interviews, two ISO norm questionnaires, a
multimedia questionnaire and a knowledge test (paper-and-pencil).
Overall, we found a good acceptance of the system. The analysis of the qualitative
interviews and the ISO norm questionnaire showed several aspects for improvements.
By means of the multimedia questionnaire we could find certain
habits of the learners. The knowledge tests showed a trend for improvement of
both performance and subjective confidence.
Einleitung
In einem interdisziplinären Lehrprojekt, das von der AG „Aktivierende Lernformen“
der TU Darmstadt finanziell unterstützt wurde, entwickelten Diplomstudierende
der Sportwissenschaft im Sommersemester 2001 die Lernumgebung
„BioPrinz“. Die Multimedia-Bausteine wurden im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung
„Grafik/ Animation“ konzipiert und dann zur Lernumgebung integriert.
Die erste Anwendung erfolgte im Wintersemester 2001/2002 im Rahmen des
