The mandrin is placed in direction of the epiglottis<br />
If it is advanced with a rippling sensation (tracheal spangs)<br />
and there is a stop after 15-20cm - you are probably in the<br />

in case of laryngeal/pharyngeal swelling<br />
•with manikin-training easy to learn – easy to perform<br />
less time and professional assistence needed<br />
• sufficient ventilation even through lays proofed<br />
•not 100% but some protection from aspiration<br />
•not regulary used in anesthesia–blue tongue/hypaesthesia<br />
