„Flora von Kuba“ fortführen. Aufgrund der seit Sommer
1990 verhandelten Vereinbarung gelangen ein bedeutendes
Kuba-Herbar, 170 lebende Kuba-Pflanzen sowie
das Außerrheinische Herbar nach Dahlem. Letzteres war
während des Zweiten Weltkriegs aus dem Botanischen
Museum nach Müncheberg ausgelagert, von dort nach Leningrad
(heute St. Petersburg) abtransportiert und 1964
an die Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Ost) übergeben
worden.

agree the secondment of four scientists to the BGBM. They are to
continue Flora von Kuba, a project agreed between the GDR and
Cuba in 1974. Following the agreement negotiated in the summer
of 1990, a significant Cuban herbarium, 170 living Cuban
plants as well as the so-called ‘Außerrheinisches Herbar’ make
their way to Dahlem. The latter had been evacuated to Müncheberg
from the Botanical Museum during the Second World War,
carried off from there to Leningrad (today St Petersburg) and in
1964 handed over to the Humboldt-Universität in East Berlin.
Oktober 1993: Der BGBM ist federführend an dem von
der Europäischen Union geförderten Projekt „A Common
Datastructure for European Floristic Databases“ (CDEFD)
beteiligt. Es ist das erste einer Reihe von EU-Projekten im
Bereich Biodiversitätsinformatik. Wissenschaftler aus Griechenland,
Italien, Spanien und Deutschland arbeiten an
einem umfassenden Datenmodell für biologische Sammlungen.
October 1993: The BGBM takes a leading role in the EU-backed
project ‘A Common Datastructure for European Floristic Databases’
(CDEFD). It is the first in a series of European Union projects
in the field of biodiversity informatics. Scientists from Greece, Italy,
Spain and Germany work on a comprehensive data model for biological
collections.
