(signed on February 9, 1918). – The collection<br />
contains: The menu card of the «Abendessen»<br />
on December 27, 1917, the evening before the<br />
Central Powers withdraw from the conference<br />
to consi<strong>der</strong> the Bolshevik peace proposals. With<br />
39 signatures of the delegates, among them the<br />
signatories of the Peace Treaty on March 3, 1918<br />
and Old Bolsheviks and Revolutionaries like Lev<br />
Kamenev, Fokke, Bitsenko, Lev Martov, Altfater<br />
and Weltman Pavlowitsch. – The menu card of<br />
the «Abendessen» on February 9, 1918 given by<br />
Prince Leopold of Bavaria to celebrate the conclusion<br />
of the negotiations between the Central<br />
Powers and the Ukrainian People’s Republic, the<br />
so called «Brotfrieden» (Bread-Peace), and also<br />
the birthday of Prince Leopold of Bavaria, whose<br />
photograph is on the front cover of the menu<br />
card ornamented with hand colored coat of arms<br />
of Bavaria. With 34 signatures of the delegates,<br />
among them the signatories of the «Brotfrieden»:<br />
Oleksandr Sevriuk, Mikola Ljubinsky, Richard von<br />
Kühlmann, Max Hoffmann, Count Ottokar von<br />
Czernin, Vasil Radoslavov, Andrey Slavov Toscheff,<br />
Ivan Stoyanovich, Mehmet Talaat Pasha, Ibrahim<br />
Hakki Pasha, Ahmed Izzet Pasha, Ahmed Nessimi<br />
Bey. – A printed menu card of the «Abendessen»<br />
on January 12, 1917, with a signed portrait in<br />
pencil on the verso by Emil Orlik the Viennese<br />
Secessionist artist, who attended the conference<br />
by the invitation of the German State Secretary<br />
Richard von Kühlmann. He drew portraits of all<br />
representatives which were published in the album<br />
«Brest-Litowsk» (1918) as a gift for the participants<br />
of the conference. – 11 printed menu cards between<br />
December 23, 1917 and February 2, 1918 with<br />
notes in pencil (names and signatures, notes in<br />
German and English). – 38 printed menucards<br />
between December 23, 1917 and February 11,<br />
1918. Includes a special, folding «Speisenfolge»<br />
card on January 7, 1918 ruled in blue, the color<br />
of Bavaria, the ordinary «Speisenfolge» card of the<br />
day with different dishes is also included. – And a<br />
printed list of the earliest delegates and their places<br />
of accommodation (building and room numbers).<br />
