There is co-operation with authorities that use accreditation to establish competence in private conformity assessment bodies that work on behalf of these
authorities in carrying out technical control and in assessment of notified bodies. When establishing a new area for accreditation there is close co-operation
with the authorities in the implementation stage and then as the occasion arises when the schemes get well established.
