Launched in 2007, the MECAFUTURE-FR platform is the French mirror of the European Technological Platform 

MANUFUTURE. It is co-operation between the French competitiveness clusters devoted to mechanical 

engineering (ARVE INDUSTRIES, EMC2, MATERALIA, MICROTECHNIQUES, PLASTIPOLIS, Pole Nucléaire de 

Bourgogne, VIAMECA; ELASTOPOLE) and the research cluster GOSPI. 

The MECAFUTURE-FR ambition, with the support of the “Fédération des Industries Mécaniques” (FIM) and the 

“Centre Technique des Industries Mécaniques” (CETIM), is to improve the image and importance of mechanics 

as well as to develop synergies and R&D projects at national and international level.

UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development, comes under the aegis of 

France’s Ministry for the Economy, Finance & Industry. UBIFRANCE lies at the heart of France’s 

public-sector export-support framework. 

With 65 Trade Commissions in 46 countries, UBIFRANCE offers a comprehensive range of products and 

services aimed at accompanying French-based companies in their development on export markets : 

• knowledge-based products and services, from business information to consultancy and monitoring 

services, in order to help companies elaborate a strategy for international expansion 

• promotional operations in order to foster partnerships with companies outside France. 

UBIFRANCE untersteht dem französischen Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Finanzen und Industrie und spielt 

unter den öffentlich-rechtlichen Einrichtungen zur Förderung des Außenhandels eine zentrale Rolle. Mit
