With the construction of the world’s longest wildwater
ride, BEAR rides AG has issued a spectacular state-
ment.
The world’s longest wild water course
The world’s biggest wildwater ride
is located in Shenzhen, next to Hong
Kong in China. One of the characteristics
of the 1,040-metre long wildwater
course is that it traverses a
steep, narrow valley with several
breathtaking chutes (the largest one
of these is 20 metres high), after
floating through the client‘s administrative
building which, from a particular
perspective, resembles a huge
dam with a waterfall. There is room
for a maximum of six visitors in each
of the 29 boats. BEAR rides AG designed
the system, supplied the electrical
and mechanical components,
and created the workshop drawings
so that the client could contract the
steel construction locally. A specialist
will soon be travelling from
Switzerland to Shenzhen to put the
system into operation.
