“Convincing overall
concept”
Bartholet Maschinenbau AG convinced
those responsible for a chairlift
project in Vianden, Luxembourg,
with a concept that was perfectly tailored
to the existing chairlift line.
Since 1955, a chairlift has been facilitating
access to Vianden Castle, a
very well-known tourist attraction in
Luxembourg. Bartholet Maschinenbau
AG was awarded the contract for
the overall renovation of the railway.
“The company presented the most
convincing overall concept, taking
the existing chairlift line fully into
account”, explains Gaby Franzten-
Heger, mayoress of the tourist
town in Luxembourg. According to
Franzten-Heger, the charlift, which
was opened in 2006, functions perfectly.
Some 80,000 passengers are
transported every summer.
