new production facility
Every crisis has an end and this is our big chance,” explains Detlev
Biermann, commercial director of RuLa, a commercial vehicle
tyre retreader in eastern Germany. “A lot of companies have
buried their heads in the sand and cut capacities. They hope the situation
will one day improve of its own volition and that they will then
be able to access the market. We don’t want to wait for that! We
think strategically into the future and have used the quiet months
wisely. It goes without saying that our turnover has shrunk due to the
crisis, but in spite of this we have strategically invested and optimised
our capacity by building a modern production facility in Zernsdorf
near Berlin. This business decision involves an enormous business
risk, but we see clearly light at the end of the tunnel and are absolutely
confident, that this large investment will very soon be amortised.”

Extruder, Vulkanisationspressen, Autoklaven
oder Anlagen zur Reifeninspektion. Nicht zu vergessen jegliche Art
von Zubehör, das irgendwie mit Reifen und deren Runderneuerung
zu tun hat: Rauklingen, Envelopes, Auswuchtgewichte, Ventile etc.
und – seit 1983 – Reparaturmaterialien.
Über die Jahre hat sich Italmatic auf diese Weise den Ruf in
der Branche erarbeitet, dass das Unternehmen alles angefangen
von der kompletten Ausstattung eines Runderneuerungswerkes bis
hin zum Kleinteilebedarf von Reifenservicebetrieben liefern kann.
An den italienischen Unternehmensstandorten Mailand und Pisa
werden Firmenangaben zufolge sämtliche Maschinen und Anlagen
für die Runderneuerung (egal ob für die Kalt- oder Heißerneuerung)
unter Einsatz modernster Technologien gefertigt. Gleichzeitig zählt
sich Italmatic zu den größten Anbietern von Automotive-Zubehör
(Auswuchtgewichte, Pflaster für die Reifenreparatur, Ventile usw.)
in Europa. Die Produkte der Italiener kommen demnach bei der
Erstausrüstung von Neuwagen ebenso zum Einsatz wie bei großen
Reifenhandelsketten. Darüber hinaus ist das Unternehmen jedoch
auch außerhalb der Automobil- bzw. Reifenbranche aktiv: Für die
Papier- und Metallindustrie werden beispielsweise gummierte
Transportrollen hergestellt oder Anlagen für Anwendungen bei

ede Krise hat ein Ende und darin liegt unsere große Chance“,
erklärt Detlev Biermann, kaufmännischer Geschäftsführer
der RuLa GmbH, dem Runderneuerer von Nutzfahrzeugreifen
aus Schraden in Südbrandenburg. „Viele Unternehmen haben den
Kopf in den Sand gesteckt und ihre Kapazitäten zurückgefahren. Sie
hoffen, dass sich die Lage irgendwann von selbst verbessert und
dass sie dann den Anschluss an den Markt wieder finden können.
Darauf wollen wir nicht warten! Wir denken strategisch in die Zukunft
und haben die ruhigere Zeit sinnvoll genutzt. Keine Frage, natürlich
sind auch bei uns die Umsätze durch die Krise zurückgegangen,
aber wir haben trotzdem gezielt investiert und unsere Kapazitäten
durch den Bau einer modernen Produktionsstätte in Zernsdorf
bei Berlin optimiert. Diese geschäftspolitische Entscheidung birgt
ein hohes Unternehmensrisiko, aber wir sehen ein deutliches Licht
