Kraiburg Completes First Large-Scale
OTR Tyre Project in Russia
It is now three years since Kraiburg Austria
established its OTR tyre business, and the
company is now in a position to report a
breakthrough. During the summer months
Kraiburg has, on behalf of an investor,
installed a facility for the retreading of large
OTR tyres near the west Siberian city of
Kemerovo, in the middle of Russia’s coalmining
heartland.

Last spring, India’s Elgitread-Group announced the separation of
its business portfolio into two new core companies. While the
newly established Elgi Rubber Co. Ltd. is engaged in the development
and manufacture of retreading machinery and accessories
plus envelopes and repair patches for retreads, the other new firm,
Treadsdirect Ltd., manufactures “Kooltread” brand precure
treads and bonding gum.

Kraiburg schließt erstes EM-Reifen-Großprojekt
in Russland ab
Drei Jahre nach seiner Gründung kann das Gummiwerk
Kraiburg Austria für den Geschäftsbereich „Earthmover“
nun den Durchbruch vermelden. Für einen Investor hat
Kraiburg im Laufe dieses Sommers in der Nähe der
westsibirischen Stadt Kemerowo, also inmitten der
größten Kohleabbauregion Russlands, eine Anlage zur
Runderneuerung großer EM-Reifen installiert, in der bei
voller Produktionsauslastung bis zu 2.000 Tonnen an
Material verarbeitet werden sollen. Der Produktionsbeginn
ist für diesen Oktober geplant.
Treadsdirect: Zwei Marken für den
europäischen Markt
Im vergangenen Frühjahr hat die indische Elgitread-Gruppe die Trennung
ihrer Geschäftsfelder in zwei zentrale neue Gesellschaften
angekündigt. Während die neu gegründete Elgi Rubber Co. Ltd. etwa
Maschinen und Zubehör wie Hüllen oder Reparaturpflaster für die
Runderneuerung entwickelt und fertigt, stellt die ebenfalls neu gegründete
Gesellschaft Treadsdirect Ltd. Kaltlaufstreifen der Marke
„Kooltread“ sowie Bindegummi her und vermarktet diese in Indien
und weltweit.
