Manual for Coil support, three-phase

The three-phase coil support is used for building
three-phase generator and engine models.
Generator Model
Coil support 4735.00 is mounted on the 3320.10
Cylindrical magnet with bearing, which is clamped in
a sliding saddle at one end of the profile track. The
2025.00 motor is mounted on a rider in the opposite
end and drives the magnet with a drive belt. Coils
and armatures are installed as shown in the picture.
Note that the black sockets for all three phases are
connected together (star connection). The generated
voltages are best viewed using data acquisition
equipment for three simultaneous voltage measurements.
The three-phase generator model is available as a
complete set (4760.50), comprising:

Motor Models
Note: These models will be operated by a threephase
power supply as 2665.55.
The coil support 4735.00 is mounted on the rod of
4755.10.
Magnetic needle 4745.00 resp. aluminium ring
4750.10 can be used as a rotor for a demonstration
of the principle of a synchronous motor, whereas the
cage 4750.20 is the rotor of an asynchronous motor.
The needle of 4745.00 rotates slightly below the
centre of the magnetic poles.

motor accessory set (4760.60), comprising:
