Winner of the 2005 Sibelius Competition in Helsinki,<br />
Alina Pogostkina’s recent concert tours have seen her<br />
perform at some of the world’s most renowned festivals<br />
and concert venues. She has collaborated with<br />
conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mikhail<br />
Pletnev, Sir Roger Norrington, Sakari Oramo, Andris<br />
Nelsons, Paavo Järvi, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Gustavo<br />
Dudamel, Andrey Boreyko and Thomas Hengelbrock.<br />
In the 2012/13 season Alina Pogostkina will perform<br />
with the San Francisco Symphony (under Michael<br />
Tilson Thomas), NDR Sinfonieorchester (Sakari<br />
Oramo), Dresdner Philharmoniker (Michael<br />
Sanderling), Danish National Symphony Orchestra<br />
(Mario Venzago), Gulbenkian Orchestra (Lawrence<br />
Foster) and Orchestre National de France (David<br />
Zinman). In February 2013 Pogostkina embarks on a<br />
tour with the Bamberger Symphoniker and Jonathan<br />
Nott for concerts in Germany and Spain. April 2013<br />
sees the premiere of a new violin concerto by Walter<br />
Steffens with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester and<br />
Martyn Brabbins at the Radialsystem in Berlin.<br />
Andreas Brantelid was born in 1987 to Swedish<br />
/Danish parents. He started playing the cello from a<br />
very early age, studying with his father Ingemar. He<br />
made his concerto debut at the age of 14 with the Royal<br />
Danish Orchestra in Copenhagen playing the Elgar<br />
Cello Concerto. Since then he has appeared as a soloist<br />
with all the major orchestras in Scandinavia.<br />

This season he will make his debut with the Mahler<br />
Chamber Orchestra where he is a Junge Wilde artist.<br />
He will also return to the BBC National Orchestra of<br />
Wales and has further concerto performances in<br />
Amsterdam, Cologne and Stockholm.<br />
Andreas' recital and chamber appearances during this<br />
season include Alice Tully Hall in New York, Tonhalle<br />
in Zurich, Paris, Chicago, Berlin and Helsinki. He has<br />
also performed recitals in New York (Carnegie Hall),<br />
London (Wigmore Hall), Paris, Vancouver, Barcelona,<br />
Ghent and several cities throughout Scandinavia.<br />
Andreas very much enjoys collaborating with other<br />
musicians and plays regularly at important festivals<br />
including Vienna, Schleswig-Holstein, Bergen,<br />
Verbier, <strong>Hindsgavl</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> and the City of London.<br />
Shai Wosner, klaver<br />
Pianist Shai Wosner has attracted international<br />
recognition for his exceptional artistry, musical<br />
integrity and creative insight. His performances of a<br />
broad range of repertoire from Beethoven and Mozart<br />
to Schoenberg and Ligeti, as well as music by<br />
contemporary composers, communicates his<br />
imaginative <strong>program</strong>ming and intellectual curiosity.<br />
Mr. Wosner's virtuosity and perceptiveness have made<br />
him a favorite among audiences and critics, who have<br />
praised him for his "keen musical mind and deep<br />
musical soul" (NPR's All Things Considered) and for<br />
exemplifying a "remarkable blend of the intellectual,<br />
physical and even devilish sides of performance"<br />
(Chicago Sun Times).<br />
Mr. Wosner's 2012-13 season includes a seven-city<br />
tour throughout Germany and Belgium, a Schubert<br />
recital at the Kennedy Center, as well as solo<br />
appearances with various orchestras, including the<br />
Pittsburgh Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony<br />
and the Berkeley Symphony. Mr. Wosner will appear<br />
in duo-recitals with violinist Jennifer Koh at the<br />
Philadelphia Kimmel Center followed by<br />
performances in Virginia, Arizona and Georgia.<br />
