Alina Pogostkina, violin
Winner of the 2005 Sibelius Competition in Helsinki,
Alina Pogostkina’s recent concert tours have seen her
perform at some of the world’s most renowned festivals
and concert venues. She has collaborated with
conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Mikhail
Pletnev, Sir Roger Norrington, Sakari Oramo, Andris
Nelsons, Paavo Järvi, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Gustavo
Dudamel, Andrey Boreyko and Thomas Hengelbrock.
In the 2012/13 season Alina Pogostkina will perform
with the San Francisco Symphony (under Michael
Tilson Thomas), NDR Sinfonieorchester (Sakari
Oramo), Dresdner Philharmoniker (Michael
Sanderling), Danish National Symphony Orchestra
(Mario Venzago), Gulbenkian Orchestra (Lawrence
Foster) and Orchestre National de France (David
Zinman). In February 2013 Pogostkina embarks on a
tour with the Bamberger Symphoniker and Jonathan
Nott for concerts in Germany and Spain. April 2013
sees the premiere of a new violin concerto by Walter
Steffens with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester and
Martyn Brabbins at the Radialsystem in Berlin.
Andreas Brantelid was born in 1987 to Swedish
/Danish parents. He started playing the cello from a
very early age, studying with his father Ingemar. He
made his concerto debut at the age of 14 with the Royal
Danish Orchestra in Copenhagen playing the Elgar
Cello Concerto. Since then he has appeared as a soloist
with all the major orchestras in Scandinavia.

This season he will make his debut with the Mahler
Chamber Orchestra where he is a Junge Wilde artist.
He will also return to the BBC National Orchestra of
Wales and has further concerto performances in
Amsterdam, Cologne and Stockholm.
Andreas' recital and chamber appearances during this
season include Alice Tully Hall in New York, Tonhalle
in Zurich, Paris, Chicago, Berlin and Helsinki. He has
also performed recitals in New York (Carnegie Hall),
London (Wigmore Hall), Paris, Vancouver, Barcelona,
Ghent and several cities throughout Scandinavia.
Andreas very much enjoys collaborating with other
musicians and plays regularly at important festivals
including Vienna, Schleswig-Holstein, Bergen,
Verbier, Hindsgavl Festival and the City of London.
Shai Wosner, klaver
Pianist Shai Wosner has attracted international
recognition for his exceptional artistry, musical
integrity and creative insight. His performances of a
broad range of repertoire from Beethoven and Mozart
to Schoenberg and Ligeti, as well as music by
contemporary composers, communicates his
imaginative programming and intellectual curiosity.
Mr. Wosner's virtuosity and perceptiveness have made
him a favorite among audiences and critics, who have
praised him for his "keen musical mind and deep
musical soul" (NPR's All Things Considered) and for
exemplifying a "remarkable blend of the intellectual,
physical and even devilish sides of performance"
(Chicago Sun Times).
Mr. Wosner's 2012-13 season includes a seven-city
tour throughout Germany and Belgium, a Schubert
recital at the Kennedy Center, as well as solo
appearances with various orchestras, including the
Pittsburgh Symphony, the Indianapolis Symphony
and the Berkeley Symphony. Mr. Wosner will appear
in duo-recitals with violinist Jennifer Koh at the
Philadelphia Kimmel Center followed by
performances in Virginia, Arizona and Georgia.
