Always start a dry operation program prior to cleaning and maintenance
work before which the installation was used wet. For this, run
the fan for 20 minutes with maximum power without opening a drive.
In unfavourable cases, water remaining too long in the trough may
cause the growth of bacteria during the maintenance/cleaning measures
in connection with the installation shut down.
Electrical voltage! Danger to life! Perform all maintenance and cleaning
work on system convectors only under absence of voltage, in
particular in case or moist or wet cleaning! For this, switch off the corresponding
fuse switches of the voltage supply.
Danger of burns! Be always very careful during maintenance and repair
work near the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger can become
very hot depending on its state of operation.
Danger of injuries! Ensure that no persons or animals step into or
enter the open system convectors during maintenance and cleaning
work.
The following items (1.-2.) can be carried through by final users and specialised
companies:
1. Cleaning the cover grille, dry cleaning:
Vacuum-clean the cover grille in the course of the regular cleaning intervals
for the used area.
Wet cleaning:
Loosen possible grille protectors with a No. 3 Allen
key.
Decorative roll grille: Roll up the decorative roll grille without bending it
too much.

up to a temperature of 60°C if commercial dishwasher detergents are
used. After washing and subsequent drying, the grille can be re-inserted
into the trough and rolled out. If necessary, re-fix the grille protectors.

and put/extend it at a place where it can be washed. For cleaning we
recommend commercial household cleaners and a soft washing brush
(e. g. car accessories). After washing and drying, the grille can be reinserted
into the trough.
2. Cleaning the fleece filter (optional)
As a standard, Möhlenhoff fan convectors can be equipped optionally
with a fleece filter above the fans. Take off the cover grille and beat the
fleece filter clean. If strongly contaminated, the fleece can also be washed
by hand with clear water; allow it to dry afterwards. Re-insert the fleece
evenly and re-install the cover grille.
