Forslag til arbejdsgang Udarbejdet af fremmedsprogskonsulent Christina Hellensberg, CFU UCC, maj 2013 Mit liv som jomfru Pædagogisk vejledning www.cfufilmogtv.dk Before watching Udsendelsen “Mit liv som jomfru” vil formodentlig indgå i et forløb, hvor klassen allerede har læst nogle tekster om amerikanernes forhold til sex, fx i Focus on Young Americans pages 36-45 og måske arbejdet med two minutes speech, hvor eleverne kommenterer emnet, som det er fremstillet i teksterne, og evt. set/arbejdet med videoklippet med Misty fra 100 Young Americans http://www.100youngamericans.com/home.html Allerede her er det vigtigt målrettet at arbejde med ordforråd, der relaterer til emnet, fx birth control, adstinence, contraception, double standard, judgement, abstain, belief, urge. Arbejdet med ordforråd kan foregå efter forskellige tilgange og metoder, som sikkert allerede er kendte. Man kan fx arbejde med forskellige card games, hvor ordene oversættes, sættes i kontekst eller beskrives eller formulere og undersøge viden om ordenes betydning via multiple choice (brug værktøjet i Skoleintra under værktøj -evaluering). I forlængelse af de første input inden udsendelsen kunne det være en ide at tage temperaturen på elevernes tanker og synspunkter om emnet. Dette kunne fx gøre i en Padlet www.padlet.com , hvor alle elever poster deres indlæg/statement, som så kan være genstand for drøftelser. På denne måde bliver der også sat et web 2.0-værktøj i spil. Watch the clips from the documentary showing the parents’ role. Take notes. Use a dictionary in your work with the description. Group or pair up, present and compare different students’ description. Similarities and differences may be pointed out and discussed in groups. B) Discuss. Group up. Based on the description of the parents’ role, compare with your parents’ attitude and role in your teenage life and discuss values connected to the way Jordan’s parent raise their children and the way your parents have chosen. Describe what is said about it. Make a presentation showing that you understood what was said, written or showed about the purity covenant in the documentary. Write or present orally a pact describing an important promise you would like to give. Choose one or more statement written or spoken in the documentary e.g. a sign saying: Protect your heart. Sex is a big deal. Explain what the statement means. Make an interpretation and tell the rest of the class or group which statement you have chosen and what you think it means. You may make an inside outside circle and make your presentation in that so you’ll get a lot of examples of statements from the documentary. (To the teacher: You might write some of the statements from the documentary in a scheme and make a quiz-quiz-trade exercise. For description of Inside-outside circle and quiz-quiz-trade look at YouTube) Get information from an organization’s website Work alone and in pairs. Learn more about the organization which has put the statement Protect your heart. Sex is a big deal in writing. Look up http://www.educationforalifetime.com/ and find out what it stands for. Make a presentation or put questions to a partner about the movement after having read about their points of view. Use the question words and “do” to express the questions.
