Forskningen i husdyravl <strong>og</strong> genetik skal<br />
skabe ny viden om den genetiske variation<br />
i husdyrenes livsytringer, <strong>og</strong> bidrage<br />
til, at fremtidens husdyr har genetisk betinget<br />
sygdomsresistens, konstitution <strong>og</strong><br />
adfærd, der reducerer risikoen <strong>for</strong> fysiol<strong>og</strong>isk<br />
stress <strong>og</strong> behovet <strong>for</strong> sygdomsbehandling.<br />
Forskningen skal <strong>og</strong>så styrke<br />
husdyrenes effektivitet, ressourceudnyttelse<br />
<strong>og</strong> evne til at syntetisere produkter<br />
af ønsket kvalitet.<br />
