Mihail Larsen Lektor Født 1947. Studier i Århus (idéhistorie), Frankfurt (sociologi) og Berlin (psykologi). Senere suppleret med studier i Berkeley (pædagogik og historie). Lic.phil. i idéhistorie 1973 og fra samme år ansat på RUC. Forsker ved School of Education (Berkeley) 1975 77; History Department (Berkeley) 1985 86, 1991 93 og 2005-06; Philosophischem Seminar (Frankfurt) 1993 94; og Institut für europäische Rechtsgeschichte (Frankfurt 2008-09). På RUC har jeg undervist i pædagogik, videnskabsteori, sociologi og kommunikation dels på HUM BAS (både HIB og HAB), dels på SAM BAS, og endeligt på overbygningsuddannelsen Kommunikation. Fra efteråret 1995 har jeg tillige undervist på filosofiuddannelsen. Sideløbende med undervisningen på filosofi har jeg varetaget funktionen som koordinator for hus 46.2 på HUM BAS (1994-2004). De vigtigste publikationer er nok “Kritik af den kulturradikale pædagogik” (1974), “Det mere menneskelige” (1979), “Til glæden. Om humanisme og humaniora” (s.m. Thomas Bredsdorff og Ole Thyssen) 1979, “Den frie tanke” (s.m. Ole Thyssen, 1981) og “Menneskeret” (s.m. Ole Thyssen, 1983), “Indledning Til Rousseaus Samfundspagten (1987), “Arnold Hauser - A Biographical approach” (2005), “A Social History of Philosophy” (s.m. Ole Thyssen, 2006). En bredere fremstilling af “Retsfilosofiens idéhistorie” (fra Antikken til idag) har været udgivet i foreløbige tryk, og udkommer i to bind i 2009. Tre bidrag til Reitzels nye to binds værk om ”Klassisk og moderne politisk teori”, som har afventet publicering i en årrække, udkommer også 2009. I 2009 udkommer tillige fire bidrag i en lærebog for gymnasiet om “Samfundstænkere”. Oversættelser til dansk af Karl Marx, Grundrisse der kritik der politischen Ökonomie, med indledning og noter (s.m. Hans Jørgen Schanz) 1974-77; af Arnold Hauser, Sozialgeschichte der Kunst und Literatur (s.m. Sonja Eld) 1979; af Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Du Contrat Social (s.m. Anne Schanz, Inger Skov og Anne Jelsøe) 1987. Ansvarshavende redaktør på forlaget Modtryk 1973-75 og forlaget Rhodos 1975-81. Medlem af bestyrelsen for Det danske center for Menneskerettigheder 1981-84. Sekretariatschef i Akademiet for Anvendt Filosofi 1987-89. Forfatterskabet som helhed breder sig ud over et stort felt fra filosofi og idéhistorie over æstetik, kunsthistorie, psykologi og pædagogik til sociologi, politologi og økonomi.
