✰ A student with poor working memory will not ‘catch up’ with their
peers. Without intervention, they will continue to struggle in all areas of learning.
In a recent study, I found that teenagers who were diagnosed with low working
memory two years earlier were still performing very poorly in school compared to
their peers.
✰ Working Memory CAN be trained! Brain training is a growing and exciting new
area in scientific research. In particular, there is a lot of evidence of the brain’s
plasticity: that it can actually change-shrink or grow-depending on what we do. In
my own research, I have found that an adaptive training program, Jungle
Memory, boosts Working Memory, IQ, and learning outcomes.WATCH.
