uddannelse, nationalitet, kultur, religion mv. Det er muligt, at der er behov for at give rådgivning i grupper for mænd alene, henholdsvis kvinder alene. Nyere undersøgelser tyder imidlertid på, at de metoder, der i denne publikation er beskrevet omkring rådgivning om rygeophør har effekt på tværs af kulturelle forskelle og i forskellige organisatoriske sammenhænge (42, 43). Ligesom hos alle andre rygere er det centralt at tage afsæt i patientens sygdom og de problemstillinger, han eller hun henvender sig med, samt i patientens overvejelser om at holde op med at ryge.
