Pamětnický portál PAMĚŤ NÁRO-
DA byl spuštěn 28. října 2008.
Tento projekt vznikl na základě
vzájemné spolupráce Ústavu pro studium
totalitních režimů
(www.ustrcr.cz), občanského
sdružení Post Bellum
(www.postbellum.cz) a Českého
Rozhlasu (www.rozhlas.cz)
Cílem tohoto projektu je vytvořit a
rozvíjet mezinárodní e-learningový
pamětnický portál s názvem PAMĚŤ
NÁRODA na internetových
stránkách www.memoryofnation.eu.
Jedná se o digitální archív, který
shromažd’uje příběhy pamětníků
nasbírané metodou oral history.
Na portálu jsou umístěny rozhovory s
pamětníky z 20.století (např. s
pamětníky z Druhé světové války,
vězni koncentračních táborů a gulagů,

among Institute for the study of
totalitarian regimes
(www.ustrcr.cz ), Association Post
Bellum (www.postbellum.cz ), and
Czech Radio (Český Rozhlas,
www.rozhlas.cz).
Our goal is to create international elearning
Witnesses Internet Portal
with the name "MEMORY OF NA-
TION" at the internet address
www.memoryofnation.eu
It´s a Digital Archive of Witnesses
accounts which were collected on
the basis of oral history methodology.
On the portal are placed interviews
from thoughout the 20th century-
with witnesses from the Second

pamětníky z období totalitních
režimů 20.století.
Portál shromažd’uje nahrávky, klipy,
fotografie, protokoly, dotazníky, dokumenty
z archivů a odborné
příspěvky.
Dlouhodobým cílem je, aby se tento
portál stal archívem různých oral
history projektů ve všech evropských
zemích.
Webové stránky jsou v 8 jazycích:
anglicky, německy, francouzsky,
česky, slovensky, polsky, mad’arsky
a rusky. Časem plánujeme rozšíření o
další jazyky. Základní informace o
pamětníkovi jsou vždy v angličtině,
tak aby byl rozhovor přístupný všem
zainteresovaným (samotný dlouhý
přepis rozhovoru je v jazyce respondenta).

project is to facilitate the exploration
of witness accounts from the period
of totalitarian regimes in 20th century.
The Portal collects records, clips,
photos, texts, protocols, questionnaires,
documents from archive and
professional commentaries.
The long-term goal is to make this
portal into the digital archive of witnesses
from different oral history
projects in all European countries.
Web site is in 8 language versions:
English, German, French, Czech,
Slovak, Polish, Hungarian and Russian.

Dosud jsme začali spolupracovat s
institucemi v Polsku, Německu,
Švédsku, Anglii, Litvě, Lotyšsku,
Rumunsku a Slovensku. Spolupráci
plánujeme rozšířit o další evropské
země.
Internetový portál umožňuje jednoduchou
komparaci pamětníků a také
možnost projít dějiny 20.století kreativně
skrz slova těch, kteří toto století
prožili.
Portál svou náplní podporuje zájem o
moderní evropské dějiny a pomáhá
podpořit koncept evropského
občanství.

England, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania,
and Slovakia and we are
planning to extend the cooperation
to another European countries.
The internet portal allows easy comparison
of witnesses accounts and
gives the possibility of passing on
the history of 20th century though
the words of those who experienced
it at the first hand. It will fuel interest
in modern European history and
help support the concept of a shared
European citizenship.
