Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) , kan ikke få sit liv til at fungere, når han
både skal passe sin uddannelse og samtidig betale sin husleje, og redde
verden forklædt som Spider-Man.
Så han beslutter at kvitte superhelte gerningen, så han måske også har
en chance hos Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst).
Han bliver gode venner med Dr. Otto Octavius, som er på nippet til at
vise en ny billigere, renere form for energi, men under demonstrationen
af projektet går det helt galt og Dr. Octavius mister sin kone, samtidig
med at han har fire computer styrede arme sat fast på kroppen...
Besat af at få sit projekt til at fungere, går Dr. Octavius helt amok, og
kun en mand kan stoppe ham! Nemlig Spider-Man...

Easter Eggs:
Insert the first disc of the DVD set and from the Main Menu go to the
'Special Features' section. There select the entry for 'Commentaries' and
in the following screen highlight the option 'Technical Commentaries Off.'
Now, press the 'Right' arrow key on your remote control followed by the
'Up' key. Now press 'enter' and you will get to see Sam Raimi’s promo
pitch for Japanese audiences.
Insert the second disc of the DVD set and select the menu entry for the
'Making The Amazing' documentary. On the next screen highlight the
entry 'Play All' and then press the 'Up' arrow key on your remote control
This will take you to a clip of a practical joke being played on Alfred
Molina by some cast member.
Go to the 'Gallery' section of the disc, accessible from the 'Special
Features' menu. There, highlight the menu entry reading 'Proceed' and
then press the 'Up' arrow key on your remote control. This will highlight a
spider and give you access to a clip of Alfred Molina taking a break from
an intense scene of portraying Doc Ock.
