Law of the 14th June 1890, concerning measures to be adopted <strong>for</strong> the<br />
prevention of the exportation of diseased d<strong>om</strong>estic animals.<br />
In respect to the exportation of d<strong>om</strong>estic animals the King is empowered<br />
to issue such decrees and take such proceedings as may be deemed necessary<br />
to prevent the exportation fr<strong>om</strong> this Realm of d<strong>om</strong>estic animals which either<br />
are infected, or which are suspected of being infected with contagious diseases,<br />
and that the animals sent fr<strong>om</strong> this country to <strong>for</strong>eign parts are not exposed<br />
to such diseases on their journey or voyage to the place of their destination.<br />
If necessary control in respect to this should be called <strong>for</strong>, it may be<br />
decreed that the exportation of d<strong>om</strong>estic animals shall only take place fr<strong>om</strong><br />
certain appointed ports.<br />
The exporter and the master of the vessel may, respectively, be required<br />
to pay, according to a scale of charges, <strong>for</strong> the examination of the animals to<br />
be exported, and <strong>for</strong> the inspection and disinfection of the vessel concerned.<br />

§ 2.<br />
Any person infringing the regulations in <strong>for</strong>ce by virtue of this Law shall<br />
be prosecuted be<strong>for</strong>e a Police Court and fined, provided the offence is not<br />
punishable by virtue of any more stringent law.
