Executive Summary
– Formal general education
• Support of creative education leading to the development of the creative
potential of individuals within the general education. It is necessary to establish
and test appropriate special programmes/projects leading not only to
increasing the students’ knowledge about the CCIs (e.g. through digital and
media literacy, knowledge of architecture and building culture, encouraging
reading, film education, perception of art, etc.), but above all the direct involvement
of students in the artistic creation allowing knowledge and experience
of the creative processes. Programmes supporting creativity may involve
collaboration of educational and cultural institutions, tutoring programmes
of cultural facilities and alternative teaching methods aimed at developing
individual creativity.
– Lifelong education / continuing professional education
• Enhancing professional skills and knowledge through sharing experiences,
professional platforms, workshops, etc. aimed at the professional growth of
CCI representatives through various forms (coaching, mentoring, counselling,
training seminars and courses etc.), including allowing the participation of
foreign experts.
3. CCI impacts on other sectors
3.1. Cooperation between creative and non-creative sectors
– Strengthening non-creative industries through cooperation with CCIs
• Creative voucher programmes are one of the concrete tools to ensure positive
impacts on other sectors. They support cooperation of companies with CCI representatives
who improve products and better communicate with customers.
The first programme in the Czech Republic is the South Moravian Innovation
Centre CREATIVE VOUCHER. 10 Foreign experience recommends the use of voucher
programmes systematically – to support enterprises preferably through cluster
organizations and other intermediaries among creative firms and companies
from other sectors. It is also recommended to combine the systems of creative
innovation vouchers with other tools, for example, the services of matchmaking
and brokerage (identifying relevant challenges and their solutions through new
services and business models) provided by qualified intermediaries. Another
concrete example implemented in the CR is the project called KREKR (short for
Through Creativity to Development) realized by the Plzeň 2015, o.p.s. (Plzeň
2015, public-benefit company), which is primarily aimed at improving relations
and effectiveness of companies’ working teams through the creatives’ actions.
